Is it music, noise, crap, or a conglomoration of everything? Its definitely atmospheric, electronic, partially melodic, partially noise - all for those who enjoy the small things in life glued together in a randomly simulated instrumental form.
This is music that might never exist if I didn't make it.

USMilk is not to be confused with the everyday milk of the lactose pursuasion.

The Netlabel
Lucha Libre Recordings is an independant label based out of Fargo ND specializing in noise and
experimental music.

Lucha Libre originated as the brainchild of Brady Daley (of Dwyer) as an "imaginary" record label
for the release of his works under the name Gank Killer, and eventually Andrew Johnson's works
as Univac. Releases usually consisted of one or two copies with variable artwork.

Lucha Libre as a label with releases formed in 2000 in Fergus Falls MN, as an outlet for the
recordings of D-503 , who released a number of solo albums as well as collaborations and splits
with Jason Campbell, Vok, Anaphylaxis and Andy Kisaragi. Eventually the Lucha Libre website
shut down due to hosting problems, D-503 moved to Fargo and Lucha Libre Recordings was
abandoned.

Andrew continued to record on his own as D-503 for a time and in 2002 recorded an album with
Brady Daley as Dwyer. Later that year Andrew and Castle Danz formed the harsh noise group
Manchester Bulge to play at a benefit show. Manchester Bulge was asked back to play more
shows, the lineup changed a couple times and the sound was refined over time. Recordings
began to accumulate and Lucha Libre was reformed. Which brings us up to the present.

rubén zemos98 lleva dos días en milano (italia). audiovisiva.it invitó a zemos98 a conocer su festival y presentar nuestras publicaciones. en su blog podréis encontrar crónicas durante todo el findesemana así que estad atentos a su RSS.

Ayer comenzó el audiovisiva 2005. Durante 4 días se celebra la tercera edición de este evento que por primera vez es independiente del Milano Film Festival. Los fosos del Castello Sforzesco se han transformado en unos jardines llenos sonidos e imágenes, tiendas, puntos de información, taquillas, barras con comida, bebidas, etc. Lo audiovisual ha impregnado el ambiente medieval del castillo: expanding the scene for sound. Aunque por separado cada uno se merezca un post de media.teletipos me parecía importante mezclarlos. Se trata de dos textos, dos investigaciones, diferentes pero al mismo tiempo complementarias:

La primera se trata del reportajo que Antonio Delgado ha realizado para PC ACTUAL sobre Televisión e Internet, "un artículo donde intento dar una visión general de todos los movimientos que se están produciendo en Internet relacionado con la forma de ver y acceder a los contenidos audiovisuales. La segunda se trata de una serie de artículos sobre Copyleft y Televisión que el guionista y cortometrajista Guillermo Zapata aka kaejane ha puesto a circular en su blog. Copyleft para la televisión, cuando la red va por detrás I y Copyleft para la televisión, cuando la red va por detrás II... después del findesemana seguro que sigue con la serie de artículos...

This fall Opsound will be part of Glowlab's "Open Lab" exhibition at Art Interactive gallery in Cambridge/Boston. We'll be setting up a workspace and lounge in the gallery for the duration of the show and generating a special edition of the opstream focusing on the sounds of Boston. Everyone is invited to participate by adding 'Boston' sounds to the pool (we mean this quite broadly! everything from field recordings to Boston band pop to fantasies of what Boston's soundscape might be).

La mayoría sabéis de qué va el tema y diréis que me hago autobombo, pero a mí lo que me interesa es incidir sobre un aspecto en concreto: los netlabels. La tercera página del especial habla sobre ellos y creo que es un tema fascinante. ¿Sabéis si hay algún netlabel español de entidad? Yo he sido periodista musical y creo que son la próxima revolución, que pueden acabar con el soporte físico y de paso con la industria tradicional. Son como Los Ejércitos de la Noche que describía Norman Mailer en su novela, que protestaban contra la guerra de Vietnam y de paso cambiaron el concepto mental de occidente. Y los más acojonante es que su principal arma de combate es Creative Commons. ¿Qué pensáis? Al menos ojead netlabels.org para constatar el fenómeno».
